The Kai that was guarding the Artifacts on Janus
The Kai are an old semi-nomadic race that has spread from planet to planet, taking a keen interest in the archaeology, folklore, and traditions of each. They stay on the fringes of society, however, and make their way by perfoming menial tasks wherever they go.


Kai are a race seen in Unreal II. One was present on Janus, guarding two artifacts and not opening the door for John Dalton or Dr. Meyer, until asked politely. Another Kai is seen on The Dorian Gray, being transformed into a Tosc.
