The Flare is an item in Unreal. This red, cylindrical-shaped flare, is capable of illuminating large and dark areas, after being thrown. After a little bit, it explodes, while the lighted area returns to darkness. It's very common, but it is awkward to use, plus the presence of better items of illumination like the Flashlight makes it almost worthless. You can hold an infinite amount of these.
