Lt. Chavez was a marine who assisted John Dalton in the defense of the Polaris facility during the assault by the Liandri Angels while Dr. Meyer established a communication link with the TCA Atlantis. His fellow squad members were Sgt. Harrison, Lt. Crable, and Pvt. Sadao.
