Map Description

Deck 17 is the UT2004 version of the infamous Deck16 map. Not only has the name been changed, but the map has been given a visual overhaul and a different color scheme (where the green goo has been replaced with red lava). Other changes include the addition of a new room, connecting the corridor holding the Flak Cannon in the east with the lower, northern part of the main hall. The rest of the map has largely remained the same.

Tips & Tricks

  • Use a lift jump to get to the Shield Pack on the boxes between the two lifts.
  • Careful around the magma pool with the Flak Cannon. You can easily get pushed in by an opponent or even accidently fall in by yourself.
  • Around the large magma pool players are a good target for the rocket launcher because they are either close to the walls or can easily be pushed into the magma.
