Right, now that it's not just me who's making mini-maps, I think we should decide on which icons to use in all of the (UT2004) mini-maps to avoid confusion. The image merely displays what I have been using so far. The actor icons are all taken from UEd. I'm thinking the jump pad can use a better icon. And I should probably add an icon for the Wildcard base as well. Anyhoo, suggestions and criticism are welcome, as always. --Kaithofis 10:06, 25 May 2008 (EDT) | Right, now that it's not just me who's making mini-maps, I think we should decide on which icons to use in all of the (UT2004) mini-maps to avoid confusion. + | : Everything looks fine except possibly the jump pad and player start icons. I don't have any suggestions for either of them though, and it's probably fine to leave them as is. Also, what about ONS/AS content? There are already maps for many of the ONS maps, but not all. Additionally, the larger size of the maps would make icons like these harder to fit in. Do we want a separate legend/icon set for those maps, or is there some way to reconcile the problems?
+ | :: To be honest, I wasn't thinking of making maps for AS and ONS. For the AS maps it's probably best to make mini-maps for each objective, and place the map on the right side of the corresponding objective. It'd be even better if that could be combined with a picture of the objective itself (as it's done for the UT Assault maps). I'll need a new icon or 2 for that, but I'll update the legend when I'm going to make those maps, which is after the other gametypes are finished :P As for ONS, KurlonT already made key guides for all of them (as seen here). He even made key guides for all UT3 VCTF and WAR maps as well over here. We might want to make a back-up of the maps from that post, as it'd be a shame to lose them. --Kaithofis 19:11, 1 June 2008 (EDT)
+ | ::: I knew of them, but had forgotten that there were versions made for the ECE maps as well. I think I may have added some of the ONS to Liandri, but I don't remember. Similar to ONS/WAR, AS would need the objectives, vehicles, weapon lockers, and additional weapons. It seems like it may be easier to use a separate legend. — Haarg 21:18, 1 June 2008 (EDT) |

--Kaithofis 10:06, 25 May 2008 (EDT)
- Everything looks fine except possibly the jump pad and player start icons.
