In the campaign intro, Reaper makes clear he wants revenge on those responsible for the Twin Souls Slaughter which caused the deaths of almost his entire clan, but left him and the rest of his current [[Ronin|team]] standing. Later in the intro, [[Malcolm]] explains that it was [[Akasha]], the [[Necris]] High Inquisitor, that brought the war against the [[Humans|Human]] race, with the help of their [[Krall]] foot soldiers and their leader [[Scythe]].
