Rank or age?

Working on Ne'Ban, I discovered something strange. I couldn't enter the "Rank/Position" field, and after looking up this template it seems the corresponding field is/was (also) intended for the character's "age"? If it really is about age, shouldn't it be date of birth instead? (Probably unknown for all U2 characters anyway.) Am I just missing something, or should this be fixed?
