Walkthrough

As you begin this level, you are in the emergency exit shaft from the Vortex Rikers still. Follow the corridor out into the NyLeve's Falls area. The first few things you are sure to notice is the amazing waterfall and overall beautiful landscape. There is a clip to the right up the mud slope next to the ship. Straight ahead from where you exited the ship is a hut. As you head over towards it, you will find a new weapon on the ground, the Automag. along with another clip. Go ahead and collect it, and explore the area for more inventory items. In the pond past the hut there is another clip if you dare enter, but beware of the piranha-like Biterfish fish in there.

If you enter the hut you can find a Translator message that mentions the Skaarj, who are the reptilian creatures you have spotted once before.

Head over to the cliff and take a look around. It's a long ways down! If you're feeling adventurous, it is possible to jump off of this cliff and land in the river below. This path will lead you back up through some Tarydium mines.

On the opposite side of the ship from where you exited, there is an entry way into a more high-tech, industrial looking area. Head over there. To your right is a door that will lead you down to the Tarydium mines on the bottom of the level, feel free to go down there and explore around if you feel so inclined.

Continue down the hallway. You will hear noises as someone screams and you watch them get thrown against the wall in front of you. You are then attacked by a Brute. The Brute fires rocket launchers at you. The best strategy to defeat him is to strafe a bit left and right at random intervals while alt-firing your Automag at him. Eventually he will go down.

Run past him into the lift and go on up.

In the room you come to at the top of the lift is a clip and another lift. You can also see an Assault Vest on the large box in the room. To get it, ride the lift up to the top, and drop back down on top of it. Go back up the lift and you will see a corridor with a Brute in it. Kill the brute and then run out of the corridor.

In this area, look out for a Manta flying around. They will attack you with your tail, but they go down very easily with the Automag. Dispose of him. Now you can see the exit to the level. You can optionally enter the bunker to the left where there are a number of Brutes. To exit the level without exploring this area, simply run to the bottom of the now visible ramp, and enter the door at the bottom to enter Rrajigar Mines. That's the end of the level!

Translator Messages

"Log: Guard R. Bijl. The situation is critical, last night large, extremely powerful alien forces penetrated our camp. Fired small missiles from hand launchers. We lost 5 men."

"Log: Cook J. Strang: No reply to distress signal. Vortex Rikers' hull is too unstable to use as shelter. We found an abandoned house to use as our base camp. Maybe the native population can help us."

"Log: N. Vos: Contact with members of ISV Kran! (Presumed lost in this area 3 months ago) They have seen a Skaarj vessel in operation. We may need to gain control of it to escape this system."

"Log: I have no damn luck. First I'm locked up for two years for a murder I did not commit, then on my way to yet another prison colony we crash on this god forsaken ball of rock. This sucks!"

"My burden does not end. More minions have been cast down by the angry Gods. I will pray for their souls but I fear my prayers are not heard. I must travel to the Temple of Chizra to seek balance."

"Log: Guard M. v. Wely: I should have stayed with the others, I think my leg is broken in several places. My brother went looking for help 8 hours ago."

"Log P. v. Heel: I was attacked by a flying beast, it uses its tail as a weapon! I was able to kill it, but not without taking a beating. I discovered that the orange berries have a healing effect on me. I feel strong enough to proceed."

"Log: Guard B. v. Wely: I can't get past the 'Brutes' to go back and help my brother. My ammo is almost out. There are 'Brutes' patrolling around at all times."
