The Liandri Corporation has been working for years to perfect the portal technology used in the Tournaments. They're hoping to increase teleporter distances, and make the system useful on a global scale. This working prototype has portals that can instantly move personnel and equipment to any pre-programmed location on Taryd.

Briefing

Matrix is our only known source for the Hyperion security codes. We've tracked him down but he won't surrender. He's afraid of being formatted and losing his last few human memories. He's been using Liandri portal tech to evade Izanagi forces so they called Ronin to finish the job. Without those protocols, we can't access the mainframe cores and Liandri technicians could sabotage our operations from anywhere on Taryd.

Mission Objectives

  • Keep enemies in check until their Respawner charges are depleted.
  • Jump Boots give you access to other, more vital powerups.

Voice Chat

(After first frag to Matrix) Othello: Why is Matrix running like this?
Jester: Rumor says he was human once, and he's afraid of death.
Reaper: Hmph, too bad for him!

(After fourth frag to Matrix) Matrix: Repressing life memories...

(After seventh and twenty-sixth frags to Matrix) Matrix: Accessing life parameters.

(After tenth frag to Matrix) Jester: This has to be the weirdest battlefield ever!
Othello: More like "Coolest ever!"
Bishop: Like Nirvana and Hell, all are connected.

(After thirteenth and twenty-first frags to Matrix) Matrix: System has recovered from a serious error.

(After seventeenth frag to Matrix) Jester: All I need is a big can and I'd be Alice in Wonderland.
Bishop: Indeed. It takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place.

(After Matrix's first frag) Matrix: Attaching screenshot.

(After Matrix's fourth and thirteenth frags) Matrix: System has recovered from a serious error.

(After Matrix's sixth and eighteenth frags) Matrix: I am humanity, upgraded.

(After Matrix's eighth and fifteenth frags) Matrix: Next time, do better.

(After Matrix's tenth and twentieth frags) Matrix: Upgrade today, live tomorrow.
